For Every Student
The Importance of Regular School Attendance
Regular school attendance is paramount for a student's academic success and overall development. Consistent presence in the classroom fosters essential life skills such as discipline, punctuality and responsibility. It ensures that students have access to crucial learning experiences, engage in meaningful interactions with peers and teachers, and develop a strong foundation for future academic and personal growth.
What Attendance Builds
Three Qualities, Quietly Grown
Showing up every day isn't just about being counted — it's about building the qualities that shape a lifetime.
Discipline
A consistent, calm rhythm of school days that quietly builds the habit of showing up — for class, for friends, for oneself.
Punctuality
Arriving on time, every time — a small daily promise that shapes a lifetime of reliability and respect for others.
Responsibility
Owning your attendance, your homework, your role in the classroom — the bedrock of personal and academic growth.
The Rules
Attendance Policy
Regular class attendance is paramount for a student's academic and personal growth. It fosters essential qualities such as discipline, punctuality and a strong work ethic, while ensuring comprehensive and holistic learning experiences.
Leave of Absence
Rule 01
Medical Leave
Students who have been ill for three or more consecutive days are required to submit a valid medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner upon their return to school.
Rule 02
Rejoining School After Vacations
All students are expected to attend school on the first day following any vacation period. Absences on the first day after a vacation will incur a fine of ₹100 per day. In cases of illness, a medical certificate must be presented upon rejoining classes.
Rule 03
Attendance Requirement
Maintaining a minimum of 75% attendance throughout the academic year is mandatory for all students. This requirement is essential for eligibility to appear for the final assessment. Exceptions may be considered on medical grounds with appropriate documentation. Students who achieve 100% attendance throughout the academic year will be recognised with a Certificate of Merit.
Rule 04
Extended Absence
Students who are absent for seven consecutive days without prior notification to the school will be temporarily removed from the school attendance register.
Rule 05
Leave During Examinations
Absences during major assessments — Periodic Tests, Half-Yearly Examinations or Annual Examinations — should be strictly avoided as they can significantly impact academic progress and may hinder promotion to the next grade. In cases of unavoidable absence due to medical reasons, parents must submit a formal application to the Principal along with copies of the medical prescription and certificate.
Reward For Consistency
100% Attendance · Certificate of Merit
Students who achieve perfect attendance throughout the academic year will be honoured with a Certificate of Merit at the annual assembly.
A Shared Effort
Parental Responsibilities
Open and consistent communication between parents and the school is crucial for a student's academic success. Parents are encouraged to stay engaged with their child's attendance, monitor school correspondence, and reach out promptly whenever a concern arises — together, parents and educators form the foundation on which every child grows.
